God talks through KANJI

A few years ago, Mel Gibson made a movie about Jesus's Crucifixion. My coworkers went to see and told me that they all cried. But how many people actually understood the meaning behind the Crucifixion. Why did Jesus have to be crucified?

According to the Bible, God created  "Adam and Eve". They disobeyed God and ate the fruit from the tree that God told them not to eat. This is when sin came into mankind.
The apostle Paul said, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23)

What does "short" means? It means "It's not a enough; it's not perfect.." Even if you think you are good person, you are not good enough to satisfy God's standard.

Let's try the good person test. God gave the ten commandments to the Israelites through Moses. The ten commandments are a basic laws that God wants us to follow.  If you read the Bible, there are more laws. Anyway when you look at each commandment, do you do all of this?

1, You shall have no other gods before me.(Exodus20:3)
2, You shall not make for yourself an idle....(Exodus20:4)
3, You shall not misuse the name of the lord your God
                                                 (Exodus20:7)
4, Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
                                                 (Exodus20:8)
5, Honor your father and your mother, (Exodus20:12)
6, You shall not murder.(Exodus20:13)
7, You shall not commit adultery.(Exodus20:14)
8, You shall not steal. (Exodus20:15)
9, You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor
     (no lie)                                               (Exodus20:16)
10, You shall not covet............(Exodus20:17)
     (no jealousy)

If everyone obeyed these commandments, the world would be a very peaceful and easy place to live. The reason why we have so many problems in the world is because people don't obey the law. In this world if somebody committed murder, usually jury decides for the death penalty. You may not kill people physically but you may kill people with the words you say. You have to pay the price for what you have done. The bible said, "For
the wages of sin is Death." (Roman6:23) The bible tells us that we are all guilty, we all be sentenced to a death penalty.

Even though we are all sinner, God loves us so much, He sent His only Son Jesus to save us. Jesus took all our penalty and died for us. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John3:16)

Apostle Paul said, "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate to do. And if I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature".( Roman7:15-18)
I'm sure you have had the same experience as Paul had. You want to quit smoking, but you can't do it. You want to quit drinking alcohol, but you can't do it. You want to get out of bad relationship that you are not supposed to have, but you can't do it. Without law we don't know sin; without law sin does not affect our life. When I was thinking about the Chinese character "CROSS", I found the connection between "TEN" and "CROSS". Ten represents God's laws, the "ten commandments". When Jesus died and was crucified for you, he died for each one of commandments that we could not complies. "Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes."
Romans 10:4

You might feel guilty of your sin everyday. You might regret what you've done everyday. You don't know how to deal with it. Jesus died for you so that you will be free from guilt and be forgiven of your sins. Today is the day of your salvation. If you believe in Jesus and accept him as your personal savior, He will forgive you of your sins and he will give you eternal life.
Repeat this prayer from bottom your heart:

Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner. I've done a lot of things that I was not supposed to do. Please forgive my sins and cleanse me. I accept you as my personal savior. Thank you for your cross. I know my sin is on the cross now.
Jesus, come into my heart and live in me forever. Amen.
